This is mainly going to be a rant, but what I do want to ask is if anyone would be interested in me doing commissions?

Now

onto my rant.

My art teacher hates me.
Absolutly.
Unconditionally.
For weeks now, she's been saying 'don't do any more manga, its too childish.' Of course, me being the stubborn mule that I am, I rebel and draw even more manga!!! I would beg to differ on her opinion of it, but she is entirely prejudiced against manga, because she thinks that it is 'kids cartoons.' Well. I have watched Elfen Lied, I've watched the Neon Genisis Evangellion films, I have watched Perfect Blue.
And never again. NEVER.

I would like to see her watch them and call them 'cartoons.'

Anyway, I digress.
my point, she finally twigged today, lets call her Mrs D. Mrs D changed track, and tried another route to get me to stop my manga:

'you're putting so much effort into your work, and you're not getting very much out of this. I would hate to see you get a low grade because of the manga.'

Mrs D then continued to suggest 'better topics to study,' and even colmplememted me on my looks (i have no idea why!) and bandies words about like 'Raphael' 'reraphael' 'waterhouse' 'Ophelia' 'Shakesphere' and 'death.'

Of all of those, the only one that I took notice of was 'death,'
Oh the depressing memories it brings back! XD

Mrs D suggested that I study paintings where sanctuary can be found only in death (or something to this effect) this just SOOO appeals to my morbid, tragic dark side!

And I like it more than any other she ahs suggested.

but it needs to look pretty.

Hence why I call it 'retty death' (pronouncing pretty = pwety)but I do have to come up with a more elaborate name.

And to note, this is nothing against emos! I'm very gothic, but not emo - i don't fantasise about hanging myself (much) or cut my wrists (easier to hide places). XD no, honestly, I'm not!

TBH, Mrs D isnt the only one who hates me
my Baccalauriete teacher hates me too - hence why even after 10 weeks, I am seriously considering using Bacc time as drawing time.

Maybe its just me they don't like O.o
